Ms. Peterson Named FCPS 2020 Region 3 Outstanding Principal!
Congratulations to Principal LaRonda Peterson who was recognized as the FCPS 2020 Region 3 Outstanding Principal and one of five finalists for the FCPS 2020 Outstanding Principal Award!
A leader among leaders, LaRonda has created a shared vision of excellence and a culture where all means all. She is a master at building relationships and collaborates with staff and families to provide high-quality educational experiences in a culturally responsive environment. Teachers have been fully immersed in collective inquiry and action research while closing achievement gaps in English and Math. She empowers staff to be innovative and creative in their practices and to seek out opportunities to enhance their professional knowledge. Bucknell has a robust Professional Development plan, Family Engagement plan, and has become an Add+Vantage Math Recovery Model School. “Under her leadership,” says a teacher, “we know we are in a safe place to do what is best for our students.”
