Winter break: December 18, 2023 - January 1, 2024. We will return to school on January 2, 2024.
Updates on Our Learning:
In language arts, we are starting our poetry unit. We will also be tying in art by doing an artist study on Vincent Van Gogh. Students will create their own art piece, Snowy Night, inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night.
In math, we are taking a deeper dive into counting and numbers. We are looking at patterns that we are noticing in the 100’s chart. We will also be learning to count by 10’s, 5’,s and 2’s.
In social studies, we will be learning about geography. We will be discussing and taking a look at maps and globes.
In science, we will be learning about winter changes. We will dive into how trees change in the winter and what animals do in the winter.
