What are we learning?
Language Arts
- In Language Arts, students are finishing up a unit on how characters shape stories.
- In the upcoming unit, students will begin to learn about Government and Citizenship
Math
- In Math, students are learning how to describe a polygon.
- Students are also learning about how to classify and compare polygons as triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and octagons).
Social Studies
- In social studies, students are learning how the contributions of ancient Egypt continue to influence our world today.
Science
- In science, students will learn about the water cycle.
- Students will learn that there is a water cycle and that water is important to life on Earth.
Questions to ask your child at home.
- What is a polygon?
- In what ways do characters shape stories?
- How do our actions influence our lives (questions from our Language Arts unit)?
- On what continent is ancient Egypt located?
Field Trip!
We are going on a school-wide field trip on December 13th to the Natural History Museum. The cost of the trip will be about $10 for each person. Please stay tuned for more information to come!
