In math, we are currently in our Algebraic Reasoning Unit. We are learning how to identify, describe, create, express, and extend number patterns found in objects, pictures, numbers, and tables.
In reading, we are learning how to attack the genre and complete our S.T.O.R.Y. map when given a fictional text to identify the following: setting, talking, character’s emotions, conflict and resolution.
In writing, we are working on learning the writing process and how to respond in writing when given an article.
In science, we are finishing up our magnetism and electricity unit.
In social studies, we are about to embark on our GATP project (Global Awareness Technology Project)
SOL Pass
Another program students can log onto at home is SOL PASS. There are activities and games for students to demonstrate their understanding of topics we have learned in class. We encourage students to log on throughout the week, as well as Lexia and ST Math.
