What are we learning?

Language Arts

• We are collaborating across 5th-grade classrooms to engage in dialogue with our Fantasy Book Clubs. We are also about to begin our Fantasy writing. 

Math

• We are working on adding and subtracting fractions with like and unlike denominators and multiplying fractions by a whole number no greater than 12

Science

• We are learning about the rock cycle and the formation of rocks. We are also learning about weathering, erosion, and deposition. 

Social Studies

• We are learning about the ancient civilizations of Greece, China and Rome.

Reminders

• Happy New Year! We are almost halfway through this school year. Please remind your child of the expectations we have here at Bucknell and to encourage them to participate in class. We want students to show up and give their best each day! 
• Friendly reminder to make sure students are charging their laptops at home every night. The majority of classwork is done on computers and students need to be able to access Schoology.
