6th grade is continuing to work on our literary nonfiction children's books. We are excited to share our hard work with our pre-kindergarten reading buddies later this month.
We are diving deep into negative numbers in math this month. Students are making great connections to negative numbers and real-life situations. Think football and temperature!!!!
In social studies, 6th graders have continued learning about explorers and reasons for exploration. They really made some great connections when exploring old maps and why they looked so different from a map today.
Students also continue working on being good communicators as that is our focus this year within Portrait of a Graduate (POG).
