• Thank you for all your Literacy Night and Book Fair support !!  The kids were so excited about books and reading.

STEAM with Ms. Simonds

What are we learning?

• Kindergarten will be learning about reusing and recycling.
• First grade will be learning about plants.
• Second grade will be learning about magnets.
• Third grade will be building a wind turbine and making things from recyclable materials.
• Fourth and fifth grade will continue working on designing a submersible. 
• Sixth grade will be learning how to program Arduinos.

What are we learning?

Here is a look into what Bucknell’s little artists will be doing this month in art!

• Kindergarten just finished their nighttime skylines inspired by the artist Faith Ringgold and will be starting to learn about clay after Spring Break.
• 1st graders have been working on learning about clay and creating their own luminaries. They will finish these by painting them after Spring Break.
• 2nd graders have begun clay as well and been designing their own clay cupcake pots.
• 3rd graders have begun clay as well and been designing their own clay cupcake pots.
• 4th graders finished up their skyline paintings and painted their clay trees. We will be starting a printmaking project next month.
• 5th graders have finished their world landscape paintings as well as painting their endangered animal pots. They will begin a drawing project next month by designing their own shoes. 
• Lastly, 6th graders have completed their album cover paintings and will now be designing their shoes next month.

The Art Show last month was great! Thanks to all the families who came out. Every student worked so hard and their artwork looked awesome!
