Language Arts

What are we learning?

  • Identifying the main idea in a nonfIction text.
  • Identify details that support the main idea.
  • Identifying text structure.
  • Writing Nonfiction with a thesis.

Home/School Connection

  • Ask your students about topics they are interested in (weather, animals, or video games). 
  • Encourage your student to do research on their topic using the Bucknell student links page or library books.

Math

What are we learning?

  • We are beginning a unit on multiplication and division. With larger numbers
  • (e.g. 48 x 3, 473 x 8, 2,238 x 8, 38 x 59)
  • (e.g. 39 ÷ 4, 583 ÷ 8, 8,274 ÷ 4 )

ST. Math,  Multiplication.com, and the multiplication choiceboard on the schoology page are all great ways to practice multiplication.

Science

What are we learning?

We are learning about living things and their relationship to each other in their ecosystems.

Social Studies

What are we learning?

We are learning about early colonial and Native American life in VA.
