Language Arts

What are we learning?

  • In language arts, students are working on a Document Based Question (DBQ). Students are presented with 4 documents. Students are then given a question and throughout the process learn to use the documents as evidence to support their answer.

Math

What are we learning?

In math, students are working on an end of year project involving creating a budget. Students are researching the cost of various housing, transportation, and the colleges to see what would fit into their budget.

  • What did you learn about the cost of college?

Science

What are we learning?

In science, students are learning about energy. Students will be exploring advantages and disadvantages of energy sources and how it may affect the environment and have economic implications.

Social Studies

What are we learning?

In social studies, students have been learning about the Civil War. Students have been looking at different perspectives of the war as well as important leaders during that time.
