We have sent home your child’s school iPad and some practice materials and activities for your child over break. Please note these are completely optional. We hope you have a great winter break! 

What are we learning?

Language Arts

• We are learning about letter sounds and finding letters with words.  
• We are learning about nonfiction and that writers can teach others about the things they know.
• Sight Words that have been taught: the, is, was, and, to, for, come, like
• We are learning about the letter Qq

Math

• We are learning how to compose and decompose numbers up to 5.

Science

• We are learning about weather and weather patterns. 

Dinner Table Q’s

• What countries did you visit on Google Earth this week? What was the land like there? Was it dry? Are there mountains?
• I heard you’re talking about the least and greatest. Name a number greater than 12. Name a number less than 12.
• Let’s make a word chain together! Let’s start with the words “six” and “mix”. What would happen if we changed the x to t?
