The Kindergarten Team has made a breakdown of your child’s current academic progress from the second quarter. Please note the yellow sheet that was sent home in your child’s report envelope to see important information regarding their Language Arts and Math progress. We are proud of your child’s hard work this past Quarter! 

What are we learning?

Language Arts

• We are learning about the digraph /th/ and how it sounds when it’s unvoiced vs voiced
• We are learning about elements in nonfiction 
• We are learning about the sight words: are and have

Math

• We are learning to count by 10’s to 100. 
• We are looking at patterns in numbers when counting to 100.

Science

• We are learning about shadows and Groundhog Day.

Social Studies

• We are learning about families and how every family is different. 

Dinner Table Questions

• I heard you practiced breaking apart words on your hips and head. Can you show me how you would break up the word “no”? What about “May”?
• Let’s practice counting by tens! (10, 20, 30, 40, etc)
• What morning meeting games did you play this week?
