Important Dates & Reminders

• After School Clubs start the week of October 30th
• 11/3, 2 Hour Release Day. School ends at 1:35 pm
• 11/6-11/7, No School

We are beginning to get into the cold/flu season. Please practice teaching your child how to blow their nose and remind them to cough in their elbow to help stop the spread of germs. 

What are we learning?

Language Arts

• We are learning about the letters u and b.
• We are learning about removing the first syllable in two-syllable words to segment words.
• We are learning about authors and illustrators and books with the same character are in a series.

Math

• We are learning about comparing sets of objects by using math terms like more than, less than, and the same.
• We are working on counting and writing numbers up to 20.

Social Studies

• We are learning about change over time. 
• We are learning about the past, present, and future.

Dinner Table Q’s

• I heard you’ve been learning about the past, present, and future. Can you give me an example of something that happened in the past?
• How was school different long ago?
• I heard you’re learning in math about more than vs less than. If I have 5 cookies and you have 8 cookies, who has more cookies?
