As the school year is beginning to come to an end, families, we want to give you a huge THANK YOU! Thank you for the support, teamwork, and collaboration. Our 5th graders have made so much growth this school year and we can wait to see what the remainder of the year will bring.

Social Studies

What are we learning?

  • Global Awareness Technology Project (GATP)- In-class research project
    • Students are asked to choose and answer an essential question about the cultures of the world. Technology is used for research, gathering data, and/or communicating information. Finally, students complete a project showing the knowledge gained.

SOL Preparation

  • On May 4, 2023, students will be required to leave computers at school overnight for the remainder of the SOL testing window. This is to help with all updates and to ensure they are charged and working properly for testing.
  • Please ensure students are going to bed early the night before the SOL test and eat a healthy breakfast (if they don’t eat breakfast at school) the morning of. Many have anxiety around SOLs, please encourage them to take their time and to do their best!
