Library with Mrs. Ames

What are we learning?

  • In upper grades, we are learning to differentiate between the genres.
  • Primary grades are learning about pollinators:  butterflies, bees, and other ways to pollinate plants.  We are learning about gardens and growing.

Home/School Connection

  • Ask your child about their favorite genre to read.  Share your favorite and tell them why.  I would say, I love to read mysteries and try to figure out the clues.  It keeps me engaged with the story.
  • Notice plants and flowers around you.  Wonder how they came to be.  Ask your child what makes flowers and plants grow.
