Important Dates & Reminders

- Holiday (Election Day)--NOVEMBER 08, 2022
- Student Holiday (Veterans Day)--NOVEMBER 11, 2022
- Holiday (Thanksgiving)--NOVEMBER 23, 2022 – NOVEMBER 25, 2022
Reminders:
Your child should read for 20 minutes each day.
Language Arts
What are we learning?
- Reading: Nonfiction texts
- Writing: All About Books
Home/School Connection
At home, ask your child to point out things around your house and label them. Maybe have them draw a diagram of an object to practice their nonfiction skills.
Math
What are we learning?
- Multiplication and Division
Home/School Connection
At home, ask your child to make multiple groups of objects, and then explain the multiplication or division equation for it. These objects can be buttons, spoons, shoes, or toys, etc. For example, I have 4 groups of 3 toy cars. So, I have 4 times 3, which is 12.
Science
What are we learning?
- Water Cycle (Condensation, Precipitation, Evaporation)
Home/School Connection
At home, have your child track the weather. Have them explain if it is rainy, cloudy, or clear. Then have them explain the water cycle to you.
Social Studies
What are we learning?
- Ancient Egypt
Home/School Connection
At home, have your child find a book on MyOn, or at the local library, on Ancient Egypt and ask them 3 things they learned about Egyptian civilization.
