Updates on Our Learning:

• During the third quarter, children construct an understanding of the theme, Who I am in My Community.  Children begin this inquiry into the theme by understanding what their community looks like and how the pieces of their community fit into their lives. we will begin learning about geography and community by creating maps and looking at different members of the community. 
• We have been exploring the community by learning maps, common places, and people in town. The children have been expanding their understanding of the community through multimodal activities such as making maps of rooms and towns, community helper role plays, and reading books about town and community helpers.
