Important Dates & Reminders

• Save the date for our Winter Concert, Wednesday, December 13, 2023. 5th and 6th graders in band, strings, and chorus will perform for the school at 2:00 PM and for the community at 7:00 PM. We are looking forward to showing everyone what we can do with our music!

What are we learning?

PE

• K thru 6 grades are participating in dribbling using hands activities.

Music

• K-2 students will learn about the music composer Franz Joseph Haydn. 
• Grade 3 students will learn about the Russian composer Peter Tchaikovsky as they study The Nutcracker Ballet. 
• Fourth-grade students will learn about Mozart. 
• Grades 5-6 students are creating music accompaniments to a movie scene from Peter and the Wolf with classroom instruments.

STEAM

• Students are working on experiments and graphing information. 

Library

• Thanks to all who shopped at our Bucknell Book Fair!!  
• We’ll be reading versions of the Gingerbread Man and World Holidays into December.

Band/Strings

• 4th-grade strings students are beginning to use their bows - preparing them and learning how to hold them.
• Please help your child remember to bring their instrument on band/strings days: Tuesday or Wednesday for strings and Wednesday or Friday for band.
