What are we learning?

Language Arts

• We have just begun our Non-Fiction Unit. 
• The students are learning about the Main idea and the Author’s Purpose.
• We have also begun to study morphology. So far we have focused on suffixes, such as -er, -s, and, -ed. 

Math

• We have just begun our multiplication unit. 
• Students are learning to put objects into groups and write a corresponding multiplication fact. 

Science

• Our science unit continues to focus on animal adaptations. 

Social Studies

• In social studies, we have begun to study maps. 
• The students are labeling the major continents, oceans, and other waterways of the world.
