What are we learning?
Language Arts
- Develop vocabulary by listening to and reading a variety of poems.
- Ask and answer who, what, when, where, why, and how questions about what is read.
- Identify the theme of poems.
- Read and reread familiar stories and poems with fluency, accuracy, and meaningful
Math
- Revisit counting forward orally by ones to 110, starting at any number between 0 and 110
- Write the numbers 0 to 110 in and out of order.
- Count backward out loud by ones when given any number.
- Count forward by ones, twos, fives, and tens
Science
- Demonstrate an understanding of scientific and engineering practices.
- Investigate and understand that objects can move in different ways.
- Investigate and understand that animals, including humans, have basic life needs that allow them to survive.
- Investigate and understand that there are weather and seasonal changes.
Social Studies
- Develop map skills
- recognizing map symbols including land, water, cities, roads, etc.
- use cardinal directions on maps
- Read/create a simple map that include a title, and a map legend
