Important Dates & Reminders

• Sixth-grade Students selected to participate in the All-County Chorus continue to rehearse for their concert on April 27, 2024, at Hayfield Secondary School.

Updates on Our Learning:

• All students in specials participated in Portrait of a Graduate / Portfolios of Learning.  FCPS central office members came to guide the students in a conversation about growth.  How have you grown?  How do you know?  Why does it matter?
• General Music: Grades K-2 are all focusing on reading and playing music patterns on classroom instruments. Grades 3-4 are reading music and playing songs on the recorder. Students in grades 5-6 are preparing to compose their own melodies and play them on the classroom xylophones.
• STEAM - 6th grade students finalized their research on Air Quality
• Physical Education: Students will be participating in floor hockey activities focusing on dribbling, scoring, passing, and other technical skills related to the sport.
