What are we learning?

Language Arts

• We will be learning, reading, and writing about being a good community member.
• We will be learning about r blends, s blends, and final consonant blends in phonics
• We will be learning about noun-verb agreement with singular and plural nouns
• We will be learning about personal and possessive nouns

Math

• We will be finishing up our shapes unit where students sorted and classified shapes based off of different attributes.
• Students have been learning about squares, circles, rectangles, and triangles.
• We will begin our new unit of counting and numbers where we will skip counting by 10’s, 5’s, and 2’s.
• We will also be learning about money and counting coins.

Science

• We will be learning about motion and sound.
• We will be reviewing plant and animal needs.
• We will be learning about changes that are happening in winter.

Social Studies

• The student will classify goods and services and how people are consumers and producers
•  The student will  explain how individuals make choices to meet their basic needs
