Ms. Monteiro-Boyd joined Bucknell ES in 1997.  She left in 2001 to teach at West Potomac HS and came back to Bucknell in 2019.  She has taught PreSchool and Special Education.  She is originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts.  She attended American University and studied public communications, and earned a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Trinity College.  In her spare time, she enjoys teaching, traveling, exercising, family, movies, building friendships, learning about diverse cultures, and enjoying their foods.
