Mrs. Ames joined Bucknell ES as the Librarian in 2022. Throughout her career in FCPS she has taught grades K-2, and 4, and most recently has been an upper grades and primary Reading Specialist. She has lived in Manila, Warrenton, London, San Francisco, Manassas, and now Falls Church. She attended Longwood College as an undergrad and earned a Master of Education from George Mason University and her Library Certification from Longwood University. In her spare time, she loves hanging out with her teen and dog, traveling, reading, hiking, spending time with friends and her large Irish family. She is attempting to learn the ukulele. Be prepared when you ask for book recommendations, Mrs. Ames has a lot of ideas!!
